Workshop: Cloud Containers: Ready, Aim, Secure
With the U.S. Federal Government’s cloud-first mandate, federal agencies across the nation face a daunting challenge: How do they achieve the smoothest, most secure cloud migration in a cyber landscape that continuously grows more threatening? For many organizations, cloud containers offer a promising solution. Still, for many federal IT leaders, the question remains: Can containers provide the appropriate levels of security for our critical data?
The answer is yes, they can. The first step? Knowing what you’re up against. Join Force 3 and VMware at the University of Mary Washington, Dahlgren Campus, on Wednesday, June 27 for our workshop, “Title.”
During this course, we’ll provide an overview of cloud container architecture, including live demonstrations of techniques used by hackers to breach containers and break into the host system with root privileges. Attendees will receive an expert overview of cloud container security issues and the various hacking techniques employed by malicious actors to breach them, including:
- Passive and active target reconnaissance
- Password list generation
- Gaining footholds on targeting and pivoting
Above all, we’ll explain how to secure your cloud migration and cloud containers by anticipating and mitigating these threats when they arise.
